Project overview

Build With Aky is a professional mortgage advisory website developed to establish a strong online presence, communicate mortgage services clearly, and make it easier for potential clients to get in touch.

The client needed a modern, trustworthy, and easy-to-navigate website that reflected their professional identity while providing a foundation for future content and business growth.

My goal was to create more than a standard informational website. I wanted to deliver a fast, responsive, and manageable WordPress solution with a distinctive visual identity, clear calls to action, and an intuitive experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

The website was developed using a custom WordPress theme, giving me greater control over its layout, functionality, styling, and overall performance.

What I built

I designed and developed a fully customised WordPress website with a clean, professional interface and carefully structured content sections.

The homepage introduces the mortgage advisor, explains the services, and guides visitors towards making an enquiry. I focused on visual hierarchy, readable typography, responsive layouts, and strategically positioned contact buttons.

To support ongoing content publishing, I developed a dedicated blog system with archive and individual article templates. I also created a custom case studies section with category organisation and consistent layouts.

One of the most useful additions was Pencil by Wasiq, a custom frontend content editing solution. This allows authorised users to update website text and images through an accessible editing interface without working directly with theme code.

I also integrated WPForms for enquiries, created a dedicated thank-you page, configured SEO tools, and implemented website analytics and conversion tracking.
